  As Director of Public Safety I am exercise supervisor over all Police, Fire, EMS and Emergency Management for Upper Merion Township. The Public Safety Director is responsible for setting the organizational goals and objectives and coordinates the administrative and operational functions for the Police Department, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service and Emergency Management for the Township. I am currently in charge of all police functions for the Upper Merion Township Police Department. I have direct managerial control of 68 sworn officers and 19 civilian employees. As the Chief of Police I oversee a budget of $16,680,000. I am also the Commander of the Montgomery County SWAT - Central Region Team, comprised of 45 members, who respond to tactical incidents in 26 jurisdictions in Montgomery County.
