  - Owned HA gas turbine clearances optimization and worked with component & manufacturing team to finalize assembly instructions for this product. Developed system level FE models by working with team members to finalize clearances between stationary and rotating components. Responsible to release clearance drawings for various configurations and to provide disposition for gas turbine assembly NCN's from factory. Received awards from leadership and one ERD too. - Demonstrated complete ownership of E class gas turbine clearances and exceeded simple cycle efficiency target by working collaboratively with component design owners. Studied multiple concepts to optimize turbine section clearances with passive control system in place and implemented finalized design. Released clearance drawings for the product and validated this design through testing the unit at customer site. Appreciated by leadership and received Engineering Recognition Day awards- Took accountability of owning customer specific gas turbine & compressor clearance optimization. Mentored the team in meeting project deliverable's, which was crucial to business to get funding on time. In this process identified pain areas in clearance analysis execution and proposed solutions to complete analysis at faster pace Show less - Robustly designed gas turbine bearing housing to accommodate extra lube oil and additional thrust from nominal conditions with few modifications, so as to use reduce the cost. Also worked with component team members to finalize compressor layout for one of the gas turbine- Guided and mentored team members in execution of F class gas turbine clearances by performing detailed 2D and 3D clearance analysis. Challenged to resolve system level FE model issues, specific to contact convergence and boundary condition issues. Based on multiple program executions, listed the best practices and shared the list with team member's not to repeat the same issue - With gained expertise, provided disposition for varieties of B, E and F class gas turbine conversion modification uprates (CM&U) and provided clearance drawings by performing detailed interface checks. Worked along with team member and performed modal & stress analysis to finalize the blade design- Worked with team in the conceptual design of gas turbine rotor. Task include design of rotor components to meet product requirements. In this process explored competitive designs and proposed few concepts. After finalizing the conceptual rotor design performed stress, LCF and gravity sag assessment - Performed hand calculations for gas turbine bearing housing and finalized its conceptual design to meet operational requirement. Also, finalized inlet casing design along with team member by performing stress analysis using Ansys- Responsible for providing RAM metrics for F& E class units by gathering data from various sources. Task is to understand the event issue and separate them in to various bins and highlight the major issues across the fleet. Show less
