  Artestruz is an educational ostrich farm founded in 1998, in which I have participated actively and passively since then.I wish to apply the skills I have learnt at university and while founding Positive Debt and apply them here. In addition, one of my hobbies, permaculture, will be useful in refurbishing and renewing of the modus operandi and physical infrastructure of the farm. Artestruz is a magical business with an untapped potential which is ready to be developed. I have targeted to:- Increase visits in off-season- Decrease dependency on external food and material sources therefore developing our social and environmental responsibility- Improve animal and human welfare on farm- Enhancing the safety and appearance of the installations - Develop a formal finance system to improve on expenditure, saving and efficient fund allocationThis is how:- Creating an environment which encourages sharing experience on social media- Working with intermediaries who manage groups of potential visitors- By developing a permaculture environment we will be increasing soil fertility, increasing CO2 absorption and creating a greener space. The by-products are food for humans and animals as well as material for construction and animal infrastructure. Therefore, we decrease external expenditure of unvaried diet (corn, barley, carob) and increase nutritious income and land usage.- Restructuring the shop area to make our clients shopping experience less confusing due to extreme variety, decreasing theft opportunity and increasing respect for products. - Restructuring the guided tours complementary information to make the visit a more holistic experience, understanding more about animal life and well-being.- Improving the financial system by rethinking inventory, storage and finances registration, to have an easily accessible bird eye view over stock, cash flow and debts.- Improve motivation with team building and sharing dreams and goals.   Positive Debt

  Positive Debt worked in two teams, one in The Hague (Netherlands) and one in Entebbe (Uganda). The organisation aimed to empower single mothers in Entebbe at the same time as it aimed to provide the opportunity for students in International Studies to use the research skills they learnt at university and put them in practice and enable them to experience organisational culture and complexities. Furthermore, fundraisers gathered many students who were not directly linked to the organisation.In this period our organisation empowered about 30 single mothers with skills and changed the lives of many students, inspiring them to be part of active change-making. Currently the Dutch side operates no more. Show less

  My dream is becoming true, let me share it with you and the world.Deep down inside, I want humanity to live harmoniously with nature.
