  Responsible for environmental due diligence and permitting for all project stages including development, construction, and operations of large-scale solar facilities and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Projects range in size from 10-acre BESS to 6,170-acre transmission sites. States included in current market responsibilities are AL, GA, FL, MS, NC, SC, TN and TX. Provide environmental compliance support during land lease/purchase transactions, project acquisition and sales, design stage development, third-party construction, third-party and owner O&M and project financing/refinancing efforts. • Contract, manage and provide in-depth technical review of reports prepared by environmental consultants for: Phase I/Phase II ESA; wetland and waterbody maps and delineations; USACE Jurisdictional Determination applications; Clean Water Act §404/401 permitting; natural and cultural resources studies and surveys; and NEPA assessments and agency consultations to identify, document and mitigate potential site development constraints. • Successful track record of identifying and mitigating risk during the early design stages.• Use knowledge and perspective from construction experience to improve environmental compliance for construction and operational projects. Emphasis on construction and operational stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), permitting, inspection and closeout requirements; spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, including management for spill cleanup; early implementation of best management practices to minimize impacts to Federal and state threatened, endangered and protected habitat and species; and on-going guidance for operational optimization and wildlife encounters. • Continually initiate process improvements and training across multiple departments, including environmental training, documentation standardization and procedures for environmental compliance support.• Develop new and expanding markets.
