  As a Teaching Assistant at Ohio State University, I independently teach classes of 25 general chemistry students. I review lecture materials, introduce new concepts and problem solving techniques, and work through challenging worksheets through an empathetic lens. Students may seek further assistance by attending my office hours, in which they can receive a more individualized learning dynamic to clarify their chemistry problems. In specific, the general chemistry nursing course I help facilitate challenges students with general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry content. Teaching Assistants at Ohio State also facilitate lab sections. In this role, I teach groups of 25 students complex concepts of general chemistry lab through both lecture, demonstration, and assistance with the lab. Further, I assess and grade students on their submitted lab materials and evaluate their performance in the lab space. Show less

  Summer Pediatric Research Scholar

  As a Pediatric Research Scholar at Akron Children's Hospital, I help conduct clinical research on the correlation of net pain score after arthrogram injection and positive labral tear diagnosis . The primary goal of our study is to help decrease diagnostic delay through the use of imaging and patient pain assessment. At Akron Children's, I collected data from 600 patients in a retrospective study for the Department of Interventional Radiology. Through our data collection, I was able to present my team's research in front of the hospital. The research and publication is still in progress for this project. Show less
