  Team Manager

  As Team Manager of student team Electric Superbike Twente, I learned how to manage a team of multidisciplinary students in order to build an electric supersport motorcycle together over the course of an academic year. We reshaped electric motor racing by implementing a battery swap system in our new superbike, to bring innovation to the electric motorsport world.My tasks varied greatly throughout the year, but often involved presenting and promoting the team to the outside world and establishing new connections with educational institutions and (foreign) companies. I developed a variety of soft skills and improved my use of the English language. Show less

  During my year in student team Electric Superbike Twente, our team, along with four other student teams, was located in a building at Kennispark Twente known as the Future Factory. To accommodate these five student teams, a board called the Stichting Student Teams Twente was established, consisting of the Team Managers from the five student teams. As chairman, I served as the point of contact between our board and the University of Twente and University of Applied Sciences Saxion to strengthen our connections. Through our efforts, we increased the number of Saxion students from 6 in our year to 14 in academic year ’23-’24. I learned how to represent all five teams when delegations of the two educational institutions, companies and even the government visited the Future Factory. Show less

  Student Assistant

  As student assistant at University of Twente, I assisted first-year students in chemical laboratories during their practicals in introductory lab skills, cell staining and microscopy. These skills are needed for the students' projects in the second module of their bachelor program, where we teach them how to diagnose tumor metastasis using Chomogenic In Situ Hybridisation (CISH) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC).To become a student assistant at the University of Twente, I followed a program that taught me how to teach students in the most effective way.   BAAT Medical

  Working on my thesis externally at BAAT Medical to conclude my Master's in Biomedical Engineering. At my internship at BAAT Medical, a company that specialises in medical device development, I focus on the validation stage of a prototype 3D-printed dental implant. My role involves verifying the implant's dimensions using micro computed tomography, and testing the initial fit of the implant in a sheep's cadaver. In this way, a workflow can be established from the preoperative cone-beamed CT scan to a final printed product that meets the exact dimensions of the patient's tooth.
