Cycle Counter / Product & Inventory Control

Product & Inventory Control office covers many areas of the plant. My part in the department covers: Printing schedules & backlog & distributing to the floor for each line to know what they'll run for the day. Running the necessary programs to pull information from to input the production numbers from the previous day from both shifts. The report then goes to the plants 3 main managers to distribute company wide. I also run a program to keep track of orders for a coiling department. If order numbers are low I release more orders to cover the current shift. Once orders are complete I input it in the system & mark it as complete. If manual orders are needed I input info to add stock orders to the schedule. I have access to a payroll file that I research the previous day production to check for zero's that were mistakenly inputted, comments field left blank, wrong codes inputted, too high efficiency & too low efficiency & any other discrepancies I find. All scrap sheets from several departments are turned in to me each day. I make the necessary changes in the computer & record these into an Excel spreadsheet. I figure the cost of scrap & make the transactions in the company AS400 system. After updating the Scrap Process I email out a company wide update of scrap for the day/week/month. Labels for the mattresses that go down the line come from within our office of P&IC. I start with the schedule & see what runs first. After scheduling has inputted the numbers I add the orders to a print queue to send them to 4 different printers within the office. Each are matched to the line they will go to. These are shelved & ready for line supervisors to pick up. If mishaps happen on the floor leads/supervisors come back to the office for minor reprints. Several other duties within the department but these are the main areas. Show less
