  Commissioning electrical equipment at the clients'​ site after having been repaired at our workshop and QC passed. Machines involved are usually AC and DC motors and generators; and transformers of various sizes.Issuing technical advice to clients about maintenance procedures pertaining to their electrical machines that we repair and or service. Providing guidelines to clients about the selection criteria of machinery and its efficient usage, relative to the equipment's engineering design and technical optimum application standard specifications.Attending to and investigating technical queries and problems from clients, associated with use or operation or other technical specifications on any machinery repaired at our workshop or being serviced by our organisation. This also involves carrying out electrical tests at clients'​ sites if need be.Attending to breakdowns at clients' sites and rectifying the same, in case of breakdowns involving machinery that is still under warranty.Working in close liaison with the Electrical Technician at the workshop in carrying out final electrical tests on electrical machines for clients. The tests entail ordinary electrical tests and specialised electrical tests such as winding analysis testing (utilising TIG winding analyser and oscilloscopes); and RV tests; core tests and pressure testing up to 160 kV.Assisting apprentices in their technical training.Standing in for the Electrical Technician at the workshop on all his tasks in the event of his inadvertent absence or some of his duties in periods of overwhelming workload.
