  Reporting to the Unit Accountant, my main role predominantly involved preparation of the Company’s financial statements including management reports on debtors, creditors, profit and loss, balance sheet as well as cash flow statements. A large part of my role involved the provision of high-level comprehensive accounting support which including processing monthly tax payments, bank reconciliations in local and foreign currency, payroll, stock takes and investigation of arising variances.

  My role predominantly involved Daily Cash Report consolidation, validation & circulation to all users and shareholders of the company in respect of the following:• Managed the Daily Cash report and Monthly cash forecasts. This included daily accuracy validation of the DCR, Consolidation and circulation to the management.;• Coordinated monthly reconciliations between the DCR and Financials and monthly circulation of templates;• Prepared 3 months cash forecast involving monthly validation, consolidation, accuracy validation of the Cash forecast to determine payout targets and funding requirements of the Opcos;• Governed Cash Collection Targets. This included Setting and circulation of Cash collection of Cash collections on a monthly basis and follow up for 100% collection achievement by the Opcos;• Executed up streaming of cash from Africa Opcos to HQ and timely down streaming of funds to cash deficit Opcos. Key Achievements • Implemented a streamlined and robust cash management system across a complex network of Opcos and geographies group treasury policies across liquidity;• Directed treasury spocs in 17 countries ensuring effective implementation of policies and procedures;• Successfully validated and consolidated FY14 AOP funding gap reports. Show less My role predominantly involved processing and disbursing payments in respect to all suppliers ensuring timely disbursements of due payments and the accurate capture of related transactions in the systems in respect of the following: Key Responsibilities• Prepared all payments including obtaining authorizations, supporting POs, contracts, GRN’s and applying it in Oracle after checking the invoice for accuracy and completeness;• Ensured timely approval of payments (both cheques and EFT’s) and followed up with the bank to ensure the cheques are delivered within the set time lines;•Posted payments into the systems in a timely manner and reconciles the payments register on a timely basis;• Updated the cheques register on a daily basis to enable informed cash management;• Maintained complete and accurate records of executed payments;• Managed supplier’s calls and resolve their queries; • Ensured timely reconciliation of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts;• Reconciled all assigned bank accounts within the set time lines;• Ensured all reconciling items were resolved as per the set targets; • Re-evaluated bank accounts and posted all adjusting entries before month end reporting: • Ran spot check on bank accounts to check on accuracy and completeness before month end reporting and pass relevant journals.
