This involved me taking part in a variety of office-based tasks in different departments of the collegiate during my placement, including the principalship and the nursery; I enjoyed it very much, I liked the responsibility and helping others.

  Senior Aircraft Dispatcher

  Co-ordinate the safe and punctual departure of aircraft. Bring together and motivate all the different people whose tasks have to be completed before an aircraft can fly. Prepare flight plans, preparing and signing the dispatch release which is a legal document. Ensuring that everyone who has checked in has actually boarded, that all passenger bags are loaded & that any cargo has been delivered...the list goes on.The bottom line is an aircraft doesn't leave its stand until I am satisfied everything is safe and ready to go.I can dispatch using Unisys, Wab2Go, Codeco, Damarel (LDCS), Openskys (Ryanair) plus manual methods. I am manual weight and balance trained and am able to complete manual loadsheets (drop line) and weight sheets. I complete manual load/weight sheets for Ryanair regularly.****I now work for Swissport due to their takeover of Servisair which officially happened at Manchester 01April2014. Provide assistance to all passengers to the highest standard of customer service at all times, especially in the event of delays, cancellations and diverted flights.I am trained on Astral (Aer Lingus), OpenSkys & Codeco check-in systems, I am also able to perform manual check-in and boarding.
