      • Was a Graduate Research Assistant accumulating experience and skills to succeed in industry.• Fabricated and characterized innovative flexible nanomembranes; results so far have secured $500k in funding.• Fabricated record long wavelength epitaxially grown III-V diode lasers; devices led to a $360k grant renewal.• Developed and improved many cleanroom processes such as epitaxial membrane liftoff and transfer, ridge laser fabrication, thin film deposition, wet and dry etching of III-Vs and dielectrics, lithography, and wafer bonding.• Iterated and improved processes based on analyzing extracted data from experiments: doubled yield of 4+ processes.• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot processes, equipment, and group needs; strong organization and teamwork.• Operated and maintained 2 MBE systems; grew crystalline III-V epilayers, e.g. multi-layers and superlattices.• Grew and characterized MBE and cleanroom samples using standard techniques (e.g. SEM, XRD, PL, etc.).• Led 2016 MBE maintenance, managing daily schedule, weekly goals, and participation of other lab members.• Managed logistics: wafer and essential group supplies purchasing ( >$35k annually) and inventory; lab safety.• Trained 20+ students and interns, including supervising 10 interns. • NASCENT Best Mentor awards in 2016 (first place) and 2017 (third place).• Member of the LASE research group, PI Dr. Seth Bank.
