  Communications Specialist

  As a Communications Specialists I was responsible for answering and carrying out Emergency 911 calls which included dispatching ground and air ambulance. I would receive calls either from a member, an EMT or hospital. I would then either launch a ground ambulance, air ambulance or both. I was responsible for locating the scene, location of the call. I would have to document every thing to do with that call/flight into our Hero system. I was responsible for the crews and the patient until the end of the flight. I would have to maintain constant communication with the crews. This was a very stressful but fulfilling job. Show less
