  Independent Dr.philos. research project (Not completed).Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Archaeology - A case study on Nøstvet axes.I presented the project at the conference hosted by the European Space Agency, The British School at Rome, and the University of Southampton for Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in archaeology.The project is divided into 5 parts to where I have developed and tested several AI's to see if an AI has the capability to learn and classify several complex data-sets (lithic objects) that have not previously been done with an AI. The main research goal of the project was to see if an AI manages to learn and classify complex lithic artifacts with high accuracy. In the project, I have used Google Research Colab with Python, Keras, and TensorFlow to develop the Ai's. The results of the project were successful with an AI that got an accuracy of 95 %. I have further trained and tested it on fragments, and even more complex data-set, and it got an accuracy of 89%. I further developed an application to be used as a field-application that could be used with a tablet or phone (SSD). 1.
