Created a new method of analyzing air particle impactor results using a self-developed image classification program that utilizes supervised machine learning to quantify particle samples. This project was presented at the Idaho Conference for Undergraduate Research.R. Buechler, M. Larranaga, M. Fowler, T. Welch, S. Miller, “Utilizing Image Segmentation with Supervised Machine Learning to Classify Air Particulate Samples”, Presentation at the Idaho Conference for Undergraduate Research (ICUR), Boise State University, Jul 2017. I was a lab instructor for an Urban Mobility engineering course in the Mechanical Engineering department. I was responsible for teaching CAD basics, microcontrollers and their applications, and various methods of rapid product prototyping. I also supervised students on workshop machinery. Developed laboratories/projects (and related documentation) pertaining to: electric motor controllers, attitude determination/control systems, inertial measurement units, and basic electro-mechanical control systems. These labs were created for use across the mechanical, aerospace, and electrical disciplines across the university. I was responsible for designing and constructing all hardware, writing control software, and writing all relevant technical documentation.
