      After serving as the NEO-In Assistant for a year, I have been elected to the position of NEO-In for the 2024/2025 term.My mission is to facilitate an enriching and unforgettable time for incoming students during their stay in Switzerland. The incoming students are medical students from around the globe participating in the SCOPE program (Standing Committee on Professional Exchange), a key initiative of the IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations). Each year, SCOPE facilitates over 13,000 medical exchanges worldwide.The NEO-In gives medical students from around the globe a unique chance to partake in a hospital internship experience in Switzerland. Key responsibilities of NEO-In encompass:- Establishing communication channels with international students and National Exchange Officers (NEOs) from their respective home countries.- Collaborating closely with Local Exchange Officers (LEOs) of all Swiss Local Committees to ensure seamless coordination.- Coordinating the entire process, including internship placements, accommodation arrangements, and administrative procedures (visa etc.).- Guaranteeing voting rights for SCOPE plenaries during international meetings, enabling active participation and representation. Show less The Swiss Medical Students' Convention (SMSC) is a bi-annual congress organized by swimsa (Swiss Medical Students’ Convention). This year, we are honored to organize it in Geneva. The congress welcomes 400 delegates, all medical students, who take part in various debates, lectures and workshops around the theme "Medicine in movement", focusing on disaster medicine, migration and ecology.We have coordinated a fundraising campaign with our sponsoring team, resulting in the procurement of over 70’000.- to ensure the success of the event.
