      Activities and Societies: Volunteer at Mercy Medical Center Volunteer at Riggs Ambulance Service Completed music theory & communications courses early in 2001. Went to Toronto in 2004 to further my studies in Audio Engineering & Sound design; passed all courses with a 79% average. Went back in Fall of 2012 to use my Governor's Scholarship and used it for the EMT - 1 / Ambulance Drive course & passed with an 91% average. In March of 2013 I passed the National Registry of EMT's test after just 67 questions.       Employed on a recommendation straight from graduating my college course on Sound Recording & Design. Hired for the position of Head Sound Engineer (Live Audio Tech.) for the Multi-Cultural Arts Center in Merced for McDowell Broadway Productions, a company that featured high-end Broadway style shows with singers, bands & performers. I was responsible for set up of microphones, PA system which included preamps & effects, mixers, speakers, amplifiers & more. I would coordinate with the Lighting crew via wireless headsets & coordinate with performers & staff backstage. Mix audio for band & vocals on the fly & deal with problems as they arise in a calm & collected professional manner. We did a total of 4 seasons (2 spring, 2 fall) for a total of 16 live shows.       Currently On-Air at 96.3 FM KUBB Country 3pm - 7pm [M-F]. I am also Music Director for KUBB, which includes conferencing with our music consultant about potential adds, discussing format & flow of music log, suggesting new & upcoming talent that may warrant a regular rotation add.Also On-Air from 10am - 3pm [M-F] on 105.7 FM & 1660 AM, KBRE, "The Bear"​. We are a Modern & Classic Rock hybrid station from Merced, Ca that reaches approximately 30+ cities & counties with 2,500,000 - 5,000,000 potential listeners in the Central California Valley.My duties include On-Air giveaways of promotional items & current music industry news on our artists that we play. Another title I have here at the station is 'Assistant Promotional Director'​ for KBRE, which includes writing proposals for concerts & events and their promotional companies that cover many major areas of California. I work closely with a&r reps as well as promo suppliers. I also create & organize each individual promotion & tailor it for the artist or venue involved to make it a truly unique experience for our winners. We also produce promotional & commercial spots in-house for these clients & coordinate meet & greets as well as VIP access for our winners.I am also the main host of a specialty show every Saturday night called "The Garage"​ where my co-host Dalia Costa & I play artists & tracks from the specialty charts as well as topical setlists of artists performing at upcoming festivals such as Coachella, California Roots & Outside Lands. We also feature local artists every 3 months. We are recognized & report to the FMQB & KKBB charts.Other station duties include live remote broadcast & sound system set up, board-op for DJ's on location, downloading & mixing of traffic spots, organizing & distributing completed production, creating commercial spots (voice, music, effects) using Adobe Audition.I truly love my job & my love for music just intensifies any endeavours in this field.
