Built-up mine engineering guidelines, manual and standard operation procedure as state-of-the-art standard.Key role & responsibilities:- Identified hazards and risks at early stages, conducted assessments and where possible, eliminated with engineer controls at the design level.- Increased the production rate by 2,5% per shift from level -510 m.- Ensured medium term (3-12 month) mining schedules that will enable the budget targets to be accomplished in a safe manner.- Assist the technical services superintendent in the preparation of monthly financial accruals, review of mining costs and cost transfers. Managed 2 Kilns, 2 VRMs and 4 Horizontal ball Mills. Managed AFR, fuels and raw materials stockpiles. Optimised concrete, refractories & grinding medias inventories. Identified, eliminated the bottlenecks & risks that can compromise the capacity of the plant’s production to deliver the expected cement volumes & quality, in compliance with the legal & environmental requirements. Defined the actions to eliminate and/or control the identified risks. Key role & responsibilities:- Developed S&S culture to achieve the ambition 0 accident and 95% Visual Personal Commitment.- Led the plant ‘Business Continuity’ during the crisis period by making the sense of urgency and risk tolerance.- Contributed to the strategic objectives of EBITDA growth, Cash conversion and ROIC.- Set the strategic goals for cost & cash (inventories + CAPEX) in line with the country and Group Strategy yearly targets: Achieving 100% Capex with 2 years financial benefit, and 0 Finding in the inventory audits.- Reduced the specific power consumption by -5,5 kwh/ tKK , -2,5 kwh/ tRM and -107 MJ/ tKK in 2020.- Established the Cost & Cash ambition in relation to financial & performance indicators with the specific actions to achieve them. Trained and supported control room operators daily.Key role & responsibilities:Pyro Section (2 Kilns, Pre-heaters and Planetary coolers) :- Reduced the specific thermal energy consumption by -62 MJ/ tKK in 2018- Regularly tracked the volatile mapping against different fuel blends and raw mix to smooth the preheater exchanges.- As per process plan, annually led the system efficiency audit, and regularly conducted Pyro-line process measurement including cyclone efficiency, pre-heater thermography, false air audit, cooler optimization, critical process sensors calibrations, heat balance and material balance for the improvement of the system.- Regularly performed Root cause analysis (RCA) of any process failure.Raw, Coal and Cement Mills (2 Vertical Mills and 4 Ball Mills) :- Achieved +5 t cem/h by implementing high level control & automation: MILL MASTER to optimize mill production and reduce power consumption by controlling PIDs. - Reduced the specific power consumption by -5 kwh/ t cem and -3 kwh/ t rm by conducting ball mills internal inspection, axial tests, separator inspection/ventilation and efficiency, filling degree and mills ventilation on regular basis as per standard process plan. - Annually conducted raw, coal and cement mills audits to identify bottlenecks in the system and to optimize overall performance regarding production and power consumption.- Regularly maintained inspections of vertical mills and separators, also ensuring annual adjustment of dam ring to optimize the bed through roller and table wear management.
