I have also written about "Star Worthy People" and "Schools that Rock" in Staten Island. "Schools that Rock" columns honored school personnel that make our children's education, social and emotional lives safe and sound. We have honored safety officers, school aides, paraprofessionals, teachers and administrative staff, among other. In our Starworthy columns we have honored neighbors that have gone above and beyond for each other in everyday life and especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the super-storm that left much devastation in Staten Island.
