  In my time in Woodlands Nursing Home in Dundrum Co.Tipperary I have worked through the COVID-19 outbreak complying to all HSE guidelines and further guidelines implemented from the workplace. My days here consisted of cleaning all of the residents rooms, washing windows, hoovering and buffing floors, using sanitisation machines in common areas and COVID infected areas. It also required the use of inventory control in both rooms and stock rooms to keep track of and the use of chemical control.

  When I was a waitress/bar tender there was a vast majority of jobs and responsibilities I had to do within this role. I would be required to open and close the restaurant clean the restaurant floor, set-up tables and prepare garnishes for the bar. I would then take orders from customers, serve customers, make cocktails and drinks. I would also have to stock take and see what needs to be ordered in from the bar side of things. I then was trained up on how to use the till and how to take payments off customers. Show less

  Sports coach

  In this role as a sports coach for Cul Camps I was assigned a new group each day of the camp. These camps are for variety of ages starting from the age of 5 up to 13. Each day you would be given a different age group to be responsible for. From there then you would orgainse activities and drills to do that is appropriate for each group. Another role that came with the job is supervising lunch breaks, placing equipment back in the correct area and when needed use a first aid kit for injuries.

  As a Human Resource intern at Arrabawn I am shown and included in many areas of the business. These areas include researching information on a current project the company is working on such as the Ibec KeepWell Accreditation Mark. I am also involved in the recruitment interview process of various roles through-out the company. One of my big projects I will be working on alongside my supervisor is updating and adjusting the Employee Handbook for the Company. These tasks along with many more will create a very exciting and informative placement. Show less
