      The Director is the chief legal and administrative officer for the Board of Professional Conduct of the Supreme Court of Ohio. The Board adjudicates disciplinary complaints filed against Ohio lawyers and judges, issues advisory opinions regarding Ohio's professional ethics standards, and conducts education and training programs to enhance awareness of, understanding of, and compliance with ethics rules. The Board manages a five-person staff and oversees an annual budget in excess of $2.5 million. Mostrar menos Assistant Administrative Director since July 2007. Responsible for identifying emerging issues, with a focus on legal and judicial ethics and judicial campaign conduct, providing input on policy development, and providing direct oversight of and support to budget, human resources, and facilities staff.In 21 years at the Court, I have served in a variety of capacities with responsibility for: (1) the Supreme Court's government relations program, including representation and advocacy before the General Assembly,(2) providing counsel to the Chief Justice, Justices, and Supreme Court staff on a variety of legal issues, including ethics, public records, and contracts, (3) serving as Director of Policy and Programs, (4) serving as Director of Attorney Services with responsibility for bar admission activities and nondisciplinary regulation of the legal profession, and (5) serving for nine months as interim Director of Facilities Management. In addition, I have provided staff support to more than a dozen Court boards, commissions, and committees responsible for the development of rules of practice and codes of professional conduct and for recommending implementation of policies to enhance the regulation of the legal profession.       The National Council of Lawyer Disciplinary Boards was established in 2004 to provide a national forum for the exchange of information and ideas about the administration of lawyer disciplinary proceedings. NCLDB consists of representatives of lawyer disciplinary entities from 27 United States jurisdictions, and the organization is lead by a seven-member board of directors.
