  As a Student Nurse Assistant in the float pool, I get sent to multiple units and floors to provide patient care and supportive services aimed for increasing the health outcome of the patient. I assist with up to 12 patients at a time or do 1:1 sit situations when a patient requires more consistent care. I am skilled in basic nursing skills such as vital signs, patient hygiene, intake and output, glucometer, 12-lead EKG, etc. I provide phlebotomy services and I collaborate with the patient’s health care team through efficient communication to improve the patient’s outcome.   At TBBC, we serve individuals diagnosed with breast cancer between the age of 21 and 40 through programs such as access to FREE medical/medication expense stipends, FREE survivorship therapy (including mental health), and community- based support (via an ongoing podcast). As fundraising coordinator, I help organize and facilitate fundraising events, collaborate with other organizations, and educate individuals on the resources provided by the nonprofit!
