      As a Town Centre Ranger I work and interact with members of the public (shoppers, commuters, workers, tourists, residents, etc.), retailers, street traders, businesses, officers of statutory agencies (e.g. local authority, police, transport, traffic), special event promoters and participants, street cleansing and highways engineers.Enhance the public realm by acting as "eyes and ears" on the streets, responding to all matters affecting the quality of the BID environment by monitoring, recording and reporting relevant information for remedial action as necessary.I regularly attend the Hitchin Pub Watch meetings and have been voted to be the Secretary, I maintain the website and take minutes at the meetings.I have worked on a community art project where I worked with other companies, organisations and members of the public to turn a disused building to a bright colourful community project.I have helped with the set up and running of events in the town, one of which involved working with local business to set-up and run an 'Independents Day' to help the businesses on the edges of the town to promote themselves. This was the fist of it's kind in Hitchin and was a popular event with the businesses taking part and the public attending and created a great atmosphere in the town. I am part of the Hitchin Fashion Committee, and help to set up and run fashion shows in the town square to help promote the local independent shops we have in town.I set up and maintain the company social media accounts on Facebook, Tumblr, LinkedIn and Twitter.       I was chosen to be one of the team that researched the various virtual platforms on the market to choose the one that best suited the needs of the company. Once the platform was decided upon I worked on upskilling the team to be able to build events on the problem and problem solving when needed.I utilise external event applications; virtual event platforms, paper submission systems, registration systems and badging software as well as training other members of the team to use them.I Work with producers, stakeholders or community managers, building relationships with them to make sure the event is delivered as per the event brief. I source, negotiate and liaise with venues, AV companies or other suppliers the event needsI manage the onsite delivery of events; speaker liaison, venue/catering and sponsor liaisons, branding and delegate experience.I was asked to be part of a group of behaviour champions and given facilitator training to run sessions to help other members of the company to adapt to the new behaviours.
