  As a trainee, I have had the opportunity to observe and gain knowledge from branch managers and assistant managers. In this role, I am responsible for a range of areas. I ensure that branch sales are at the expected standard by analysing sales figures and acting upon these. I have reacted to such findings by becoming involved in marketing to new and existing corporate businesses which has included hosting marketing events. Furthermore, I have provided excellent customer service to members of the public as well as businesses by dealing with any issues promptly and to a high standard. This has been commended by customers. Supporting managers with branch finances by analysing monthly income statements, looking at ways to reduce costs and maximise revenue and contacting customers regarding their invoices has contributed to the overall performance of the branch. I am also responsible for accurately completing administration tasks such as recording customer details, underwriting insurance policies and ensuring that data protection is of paramount importance. I have gained experience working with a number of different IT systems including databases. Efficiently dispersing appropriate and well-maintained vehicles, carrying out thorough vehicle checks and raising claims with the damage recovery team ensures that customers are given high-quality vehicles. In terms of working with businesses, I have formed positive relationships with existing companies and I have developed new corporate relationships. In this role, I have successfully analysed businesses in order to understand how Enterprise Rent-a-Car could support their businesses to expand. Marketing to a prominent national company based within Teesside and supporting them to create a car rental account has resulted in the company using Enterprise nationally as a result of my strong relationship building skills.   As Business Development Manager I ensure the effective management of the business development coordinators, develop and deliver operations plans designed to secure growth in apprenticeship and commercial training. I work to establish links with levy-paying businesses within the Tees Valley area to promote/recruit and grow apprenticeships and commercial training across a range of sectors, meeting local priorities. I manage a team of Business Development Coordinators, Recruitment Administrator and Business and Industrial Placement Lead to drive performance and ensure targets are met contributing to the planning and monitoring process of the group. As well as that, I also provide details of other business support and grant opportunities available to address business needs such as that from the Tees Valley Combined Authority. I reguarly attend networking and events to promote the college, reputation and provision and liaise with a range of stakeholders to provide a package of support for businesses and other organisations. Finally, I aim to seek out business development opportunities to assist with the college achieving its objectives and to support the development of the department by being innovative and target focused.
