The company was specialised in the travel and hospitality industry, and designed for catering, on-board retail and lounges. During my internship I helped with designing an airport lounge, a multifunctional bag and I worked on my graduation assignment: decoration for a Gate Group event.

      I wrote my thesis for Golfstromen, an Amsterdam-based urban development and communications agency. My responsibilities include: writing articles for online magazine Pop-Up City (https://popupcity.net/) and writing my thesis about people who move from city to countryside. The research was concluded in a concept called ‘Dorps Match’ (Village Match). This is an online personality test which citizens can be matched to their ideal village.

      Travelling

      In 2019 I traveled by myself through Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar in about three months. I enjoyed the different cultures, new flavors, getting to know new people and all the beauty that South East Asia has to offer. In Malaysia I made my long cherished dream of learning to scuba dive come true and got my PADI certification!

      After my studies I wanted to develop myself and I have been involved in various projects. Through these self-developed projects I learned that I prefer to design solutions for social issues, such as gender equality and sustainability. I have set up a plant cutting library in Tilburg, organized a zero waste walking tour in Tilburg, made sustainable facemasks, made my own clothing with sustainable materials and started a social enterprise for gender equality. I worked together in a group with Yazmin Hoogma, Diana van der Meer, Saffier Morozov and Margriet Schouten and we created ‘Happy Confetti’.Happy Confetti is a eatable product for children. It is made from vegetable snippers that can be sprinkled on every meal.
