       Lead plant wide initiatives to reduce the amount of OSHA recordable injuries, resulting in a zero recordable rate for two years.  Lead Kaizen events to focus on inventory control, product quality and waste reduction. Created a KANBAN system that helped control material movement through the production process, also helped to identify quality issues related to the material or machine defects.  Reduced inventory levels by one million pounds and established a lean production operation. Managed work orders to ensure proper finished goods inventory is produced according to SOP plan. Created a master schedule that forecasted demand for a two-week period, made schedule changes deemed necessary to achieve goals. Achieved best production output in six years, producing 110 million pounds in 2006. Partner with other departments within production facility to support a wide range of ongoing projects which included lot tracing/product identification in the production process. Good knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control, costs reduction, and other techniques. Implemented team-building exercises to promote unity as well as employee involvement. Zero OSHA record able for two years. Reported as well as fixed problems related to production delays. Supervised and synchronized production to produce a quality product at the lowest possible cost.
