As well as operating I have been involved in surveying for potential work and supervising installation of units worldwide as well as in the North Sea.       Drilled a total of 14 wells using MiSwaco's Ultradril WBM on the North Falklands basin plus 1 deep water well South of the island for BHP Billington. At present involved in an ultra deep water well for AGR/Borders & Southern to the South of the island using a mixed salt/glycol Ultradril mud system.Review mud program to prepare orders and mixing plans - Write procedures for mixing mud and handling of products - Gather chemical or fluid samples for testing - Test fluids to determine trends and identify contaminants - Record mud testing results to identify trends - Interpret data from mud property checks to evaluate treatment or action required - Determine the cause of mud, hole, or system problems so correct treatment can be recommended - Determine chemical treatment to optimize drilling parameters - Advise clients on potential treatments or improvements to the mud system based on data analysis and mud testing - Make recommendations concerning solids control processes to ensure the equipment is optimized for economic solids removal using my Solids Control background- Supervise rig personnel when performing chemical additions and recording drilling fluids parameters - Manage product inventory to ensure availability - Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and rig personnel - Maintain environmental discharge and consumption records as required by legislation or client - Comply with company and customer health and safety procedures - Follow daily reporting processes and procedures - Monitory daily drilling operations to reduce or eliminate problems associated with drilling mud Show less

Work closely with fluids and cementing contractors offshore and onshore making sure all logistical and well requirements are met within operational timings and as per program. Write EOWR and submit in a timely manner. Liaison with offshore and onshore waste management team ensuring control of waste is paramount at all times. Dealt with two unplanned riser displacement back to seawater due to weather plus a 3150bbls wellbore clean up. Maintained mud property specifications whilst close monitoring of the active due to wildcat operations requiring well planned remedial treatments. TD with mud properties all within allowed range for drilling and maintaining low ECD. Show less

      Assisted in drilling the Glendronach well West of the Shetlands utilizing the semi-sub rig Stena Don on time and without any safety or wellbore issues on behalf of Total E&P UK. Transferred over to join the offshore team on board the Maersk Highlander introducing the position of a Fluids Supervisor to the Maersk personnel.
