      My REU internship centered an electrically actuated micro-channel heat-transfer device. This device was designed to dissipate heat using a pulsing signal to move liquid with different properties through a channel created by to pieces of glass coated with conductive material. My part included tracking the liquid in the channel using a high speed camera and graphing those positional results using MATLAB. The end result was published in a Chemical Engineering Journal: “Gravity and capillary pressure-driven drainage in a vertical Hele-Shaw cell: thin film deposition”. Show less
