      Nottingham Trent Students’ Union is a high performing and ambitious organisation, voted Students Union of the Year in 2015. My headline achievements included:- Successfully elected twice to represent 29,000 students, working as the main sports liaison between the Students’ Union, the University Executive Team and the NTU Sport Management Team.- Supported each of NTU’s 59 sports clubs and their members through a complete rebrand, as well as delivering comprehensive development opportunities, personalised support and directing an annual club grant budget of c150k.- Led the strategic direction of 400 part-time and full-time staff with responsibility for ensuring the financial solvency of a Students' Union with a £6m turnover, analysing financial projections and using risk management skills and strategic planning to ensure its long term sustainability.- Supported the development and implementation of a new BUCS Top 10 performance sport strategy which gained over £200k in extra central funding to further enhance the support services and opportunities available for the top performing student-athletes.- Developed and implemented a new sports academic support programme which provided over 150 performance / scholarship athletes with 1-on-1 tutoring, recorded lectures and greater academic flexibility to support their dual-career.- Lead organiser of multiple major sporting events including the nationally renowned Nottingham Varsity Series, increasing the event from 14 to 38 sports, with an aggregate attendance of 25,000 to become one of the largest and most marketable inter-university sporting competitions in the UK.- Removed all bar sponsorship and minimum quota contracts from sports clubs and replaced with £70k of central university funding and two institution-wide and nationally recognised campaigns - NTUnity and Consent is Everything.       Selected as a Headquarters staff member, to provide world class support services to the Team GBR delegation during the 2017 World University Games in Taipei City. My main responsibilities included:- Staffing the HQ and acting as a 1st point of contact for any athlete, coach or staff questions or queries; resolving, relaying or escalating issues as and when required.- Equipping the HQ and Team GBR accommodation, including the set up of all bedrooms, medical areas and HQ spaces.- Supporting the meet and greet orientation procedures of incoming athletes, coaches and staff including tours of the athletes village, providing key information to support a smooth transition onto the site.- Assisting in the production of daily schedules for each sport and dealing with transport, catering, logistics and sport specific requirements.- Providing administrative support to the senior HQ staff including -Chef de Mission, Deputy Chef de Missions, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Physiotherapist. Show less BUCS is the national governing body for Higher Education sport in the UK. The Student Director is elected annually by members and is responsible for representing all sabbatical officers and students on its Board of Directors. My headline achievements included:- Representing BUCS internationally as the student delegate for the 13th Federation Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) Forum in France.- Selected as BUCS’ endorsed candidate for the European University Sport Association (EUSA) Student Committee elections for 2016-18.- Undertook a full review of the current BUCS competition structures as part of the inter-varsity competitions working group and performance sport strategy review, ensuring that students have their voice heard as part of the research.- Supported the production of key training resources for students and sabbatical officers including "Getting into Coaching" alongside UK Coaching and a "Mental Health Awareness" guide in collaboration with Student Minds.       As Club Development Officer I supported the delivery of a holistic Club Development Programme, promoting the growth and development of our 64 club infrastructures through personalised guidance and support.

      My role is deliver a sector leading programme of coach education and club development, working with key partners to enhance the student experience. I lead a team of 3 Club Development Officers, a Club & Performance Sport Administrator and 3 Full-Time Head Coaches to deliver high quality development opportunities and support for our 74 sports clubs and 180+ coaches. As Club Development Officer my role focused around delivering the University’s Vision for Sport through the strategic and sustainable development of our student sports clubs, helping to deliver the best possible sporting experience.
