      PL Underwriter consisted of accepting & declining several lines of business for State Farm. I'm trained and certified in home owners, condos, renters, rental dwellings, boats, personal umbrellas, & personal article policies. In underwriting I reviewed the potential insured's loss history report & application to make sure all information is correct before approving & binding coverage. In PL Underwriting I also reviewed policy's that have had a loss history with State Farm within the first 1-3 years of the policy history, or and insured's who had tendency of filing claims. By doing so I sent out letters to the insured on how to mitigate there claim frequency, increased deductible, & non-renew policies. When underwriting an application I tried to select the best risk to put on the books & get off potential policy's high loss ratio. Show less
