      •Serve as the Program Official for the Strong Heart Study (SHS), the largest cardiovascular epidemiology study of American Indian men and women. Conceptualized plans for the renewal of the study.•Served as the interim Health Scientist Administrator (HSA) the for the Arizona health provider organization (HPO) site for the All of Us Research Program. Recipient of NIH 2017 Director’s Award as a member of the NHLBI Team in Building the Precision Medicine Initiative/All of Us Research Program.•Developed, organized, and coordinated the NHLBI working group entitled “NHLBI Forum on Heart, Lung, and Sleep Disorders in American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian (AI/AN/NH) Youth (https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/news/events/nhlbi-forum-heart-lung-and-sleep-disorders-american-indianalaska-nativenative-hawaiian) (Summer 2016). Mentored undergraduate student as part of the NIH Summer Internship in Biomedical Research Program (NIH SIP). •Coordinated and evaluated research projects (funded by grants and contracts) and program activities in cardiovascular sciences including a portfolio analysis on grants to assess progress on translational research in the NHLBI’s human genetics research portfolios and a portfolio analysis of grants funded for ancillary studies of cardiovascular epidemiology cohorts funded by the Epidemiology Branch of the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences, NHLBI. First author on a portfolio analysis publication and co-author on a second publication as a result of the analyses. Presented the analysis at a national conference (poster session).•Conceptualized and designed evaluation projects/plans for two large research contracts (over $50 million) for evaluation set-aside funding. Successfully competed for evaluation funds - awarded $360,000 for from NIH OD. First set-aside award for the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences at the NHLBI (2014-2016). Show less
