  Multiphase/Multi-Physics Flow Lab, Capecelatro Research GroupEngineeering a Wall-Modeled LES (WMLES) framework combined with Immersed Boundary Methods (IBM) using NGA-2 to simulate turbulent flows over complex geometries with improved accuracy.Reviewing existing WMLES methodologies to identify gaps and refine the framework, and applying the enhanced model to pipe and channel constrictions, capturing flow separation and validating simulation performance. IDEAS LabCollaborated with Collins Aerospace to evaluate 6 advanced nacelle technologies for next-generation single-aisle aircraft, focusing on reducing fuel burn, operating costs, and meeting TRL requirements.Developed a performance analysis framework using Nicolas Cumpsty’s principles for aerodynamic and thermodynamic performance and papers to analyze recurring & development costs, improvement methods, and supporting data.
