During security issues with alternatively connectivity to the exchange, finally had the go-ahead to accept other vendors of connectivity than direct connectivity, which were expensive solutions with 6+ months delivery time and caused delays in optimizing adapting to new low latency and DMA offerings. Implementing selection criteria’s for new vendors and optimizing the deliveries from existing vendors. RFP requests to selected vendors. Compliance management. Outsourcing of services to Equinix, NNIT and Interxion. Results: In the cleanup process of vendor and exchange agreements identified numerous areas where contracts were not used and where optimization would benefit the whole organization. Savings accumulated during the first year is between 15-20% depending on the choice of future strategy and vendors. Involve business in their spending. Workshops with all major suppliers. Introduce a new budget model and inventory tool to enable overall control, interfacing several in-house build and vendor tools.Move of vendor services to Equinix, NNIT and Interxion. Testing vendors preferred partners in the same area in collaboration with IT and operations. Show less
