Travelers’ has engaged Cognizant to share the load of ongoing production support tasks for various claims applications. The functionalities of the claims applications are limited from the Line of Business perspective. The scope of the project involves data extraction from the database for reporting to the business, data updates to the claims database as part of data revisions/fixes to problems, any research and balancing on the application controls, program changes and implementation as part of enhancements and automating all the repetitive tasks. The project may involve QA activities also.The core claim processing involves 2 major applications – IMPACT and TMATE. Cognizant maintains and enhances a bundle of claim applications including IMPACT and TMATE. The maintenance activities include production support, bug fixes, and support requests on the claim applications.
