My current role is a MHSAct Reg 2.14.1 read together with MHSAct Reg 2.13.12 appointee at Tweefontein Mine.I demonstrated an achievement in production by achieving the hoisted target tonnes in my section of appointment (Mooigenoeg Section) after only the first month whilst on acting. Currently appointed under Regulation 4.4 of the MHSA (Miner)

  My current role is a MHSAct Reg 2.14.1 read together with MHSAct Reg 2.13.12 appointee at BSU-01 Development Section in charge of decline development including excavating and installation of inline tips and chairlift extensions.Noteworthy achievements:~ 1566 LTI free shifts in Aug 2021 (free since inception) for BSU-01 Development Section~ Achieved a total of 1 743m of primary development vs business plan of 1 310m for FY2021 ended June 2021.~ Achieved record primary development meters of 165.5m vs business plan of 96m for May/June 2021 measuring month.~ Installed and commissioned the very first Chairlift Installation at Booysensdal South Mine in September 2021.   Currently appointed under MAR 2.6.1 read together with MHSA Section 7(4)Roles & Responsibilities:Managing the Trackless Development and Narrow Reef Mining Sections of the Target 1 Mine value chain which exist to support the Massive Stoping and Sub-Level Open Stoping footprint.1. Narrow Reef Mining distresses on the upper levels of the mine to reduce vertical stresses from +80MPA to below 50MPA for the Trackless Development.2. Trackless Development develops accesses, reef drives and slot cubbies for the Massive Stopes to get into production. - Currently developing the Block 12 Footprint which will give rise to the Sub-Level Open Stoping mining method in September 2022Noteworthy achievements: ~ 8 months FOG / Seismic injury free.~ 206 injury free days on Trackless Development.~ Construction of R242m Man-riding conveyor belt extension to minimize dump truck trammingdistance from 2.5km to 600m.~ Implemented Business Improvement Project in October 2021 which involved the introduction of support using a fully mechanised bolter as opposed to the drill rig.~ Successfully implemented a new support strategy which involves areal coverage at the face resulting in reduction of FOG incidents and a reduction in number of support units required.~ Successfully excavated the Crusher Chamber Excavation & Travelling Way at 291 Level for Crusherand Crusher Dam installation in December 2021.
