  Kinto was successfully acquired by Rippl in April 2024.Kinto is a technology- and AI-enabled coaching and support group platform for families caring for older adults with dementia and other chronic conditions. In 2024, Kinto completed a 500-person clinical trial of our proprietary intervention, funded by the National Institutes of Health, demonstrating significant improvements in the behavioral symptoms of dementia patients, and reductions in caregiver burden and anxiety.Kinto was supported in its work through formal partnerships with the NIH, AARP, the Alzheimer’s Association, MITRE, MassVentures, and MassGeneral Brigham. Achievements include AARP Innovation at 50+ (2017 Finalist), Phase II NIH funding in 2018 ($2.2 Million), MassVentures START program participant (2020-2022: $800K in funding), MassChallenge HealthTech (2021 Finalist), winner of the Massachusetts COVID-19 Recovery Challenge (2022), Fast Track Clinical Trials Funding in 2022 ($2.8 million), first start-up approved for Open-AIs HIPAA infrastructure (2023), first clinical trial with MassGeneral Brigham (2023) and completion of large-scale, NIH-funded clinical trials in 2024.Kinto was developed and seed funded by Redstar Ventures (see below).
