  There were lot of End Scrap Generation due to various reasons. I deployed in Galvalnizing Line. As an Intern I properly analysed the processing of Roll Steel Coils at various stations and figured out the permissible limit of scarp generation and actual scrap generation, after collecting data for about a month as well as previously recorded data I reached to the conclusion that major scrap generation were due to IMPROPER Material Handling procedures and as well as Worker's Lack of Knowledge.   Spacewood office Solution Pvt. Ltd. is India's Leading Manufacturer of furniture. Spacewood has two Divisions: 1) Wood Working, and 2) Metal Working. The work was carried out in Metalworking Plant, the major problems with this plant were, that there was no proper and sufficient space for storing their inventory, the processing machines were not in one particular room because of which backtracking of material was taking place and the assembly section which should be at one particular place was taking place at three different places. So by studying and analyzing all these problems in detail we (a team of 2 people) had suggested three plant layout alternatives, out of which one is selected and implemented by the management wherein we were able to save 19.89 less per cent material handling than existing plant layout.
