Associate's Degree Business Administration and Management, General

I am working towards my associates degree in business administration/management because my ultimate goal is to one day own my own business. For some reason, I am fascinated with the construction industry. I love seeing something go through a total transformation through renovation and general construction and I want to be smack dab in the middle of it all, which is why I decided to go back to school.

      Assistant Manager

I managed anywhere between two to three employees at a time when the company manager was unable to make it or was on vacation. I ensured all daily tasks were executed and documented by the end of each shift, and that all employees were on task through the duration of the day. I performed office closing via the preparation of evening deposits and statements on a daily basis and made sure everything was accurate and completed as expected. I handled employee disputes and was responsible for troubleshooting potential solutions to any issues and concerns that arose within the office, as well as various customer complaints and concerns. Aug 2016 - Nov 2017
      Patient Registration Specialist

I registered between 25-38 patients, daily, which entails updating all necessary patient demographics, as well as, acquiring signatures for all required consents and documents before entering/updating inside of the EHR (electronic health record) software. I would briefly explain hospital policies and procedures, as well as, HIPPA and the patients' rights to the privacy of their medical records and information. I ensured all tasks were executed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner while maintaining great communication with appropriate staff and departments. Coworkers nearly always came to me when questions or issues arose because I have good problem-solving skills, learn effectively AND quickly (I'm not afraid to learn new skills/ processes and I retain most information rather quickly), and an excellent work ethic. Patient Registration Specialist / Data Entry Technician

The patient demand at tribal facilities tends to be greater than most traditional hospitals since the care provided is for Native Americans whether they have insurance or not. If an individual has a tribal membership card, regardless of the tribe or insurance coverage, they are eligible to receive care within a tribal facility without the same financial obligations had they gone to a traditional healthcare facility. We could see anywhere from 60-375 patients during one 12-hour shift. My time in the Emergency Department/Urgent Care at W.W. Hastings Hospital consists of constant high patient demand in a very chaotic and fast-paced environment. I am responsible for verifying, updating, and entering patient information into our electronic health record (EHR). I ensure that insurance information is added into the patients’ chart correctly and verify eligibility, to maintain front-end control, so that the billing department can quickly submit clean claims. Insurance claims MUST be submitted accurately and in a timely manner to ensure prompt payment for those claims. While in the ED, I am responsible for any tasks delegated by the Physicians that are on shift, as well as, registering every patients’ visit. Things like pulling previous radiology and lab reports from past visits at our facility, requesting medical records per HIPPA guidelines from other healthcare facilities so that the best continuation of care is given, and informing all patients of their rights per the HIPPA regulations. Dec 2020 - now

I am currently a self-employed virtual assistant. I'm willing and happy to assist business owners and professionals with various tasks, appointments, scheduling, calendar management, email management, customer or client follow-up, projects, etc. to alleviate one's workload. I am here to offer support and assistance with tasks that can be delegated to another to free up one's time for other tasks and projects that are of greater priority. I pride myself in my ability to tackle anything that is thrown my way, whether I'm familiar with it, or not. If not, I'll go above and beyond to research and learn whatever is necessary to get the job done, then use that knowledge to properly execute the task at hand. What I may lack in experience (virtual assisting, I mean), I make up for in perseverance, determination, and self-motivation. I know that I can be and do exactly what one requires if given the opportunity. I have the determination and strive to be the very best version of myself at all times, and I cannot wait to show you exactly what I'm made of! Show less

      Inbound Provider Contact Representative II

This position has greatly increased my overall skill set and experience working within the healthcare industry. I have seen both sides of the healthcare spectrum, from the clinical/patient health aspect all the way to the financial or the insurance related side of healthcare. During my time spent in the healthcare industry I have obtained a lot of great insights into the patient access or care within the health care system. That being said, I know I’m more than qualified to represent and advocate for patients traversing within the healthcare system. I’m uniquely positioned to act as a liaison between the patients and the providers in order to provide excellent service given my professional background. Show less
