      Within this role I led the provision of welfare services for 16 sports within the University of Nottingham, to ensure welfare on the individual and team level was achieved. It was role with many challenges due the diverse nature of indiviual welfare recquirements, however this role was extremely rewarding, aiding both students mental health within sport aswell as awareness of mental health support networks. It was a role that made a real difference and one that I am very proud to have led.As a team had 3 key areas of focus for Mental Health within sport ;Raise Awareness - Mental Health is something in all environments that should be discussed, its okay not be okay!Removing Barriers - No matter the individuals, racial, cultural, sexual orientation we want the conversation to be fully inclusive no matter the background - we are here to support those in need at times of need.       Reflecting on the Role of Men's Captain at the University of Nottingham Boat Club Post-COVID.As the Men's Captain for the University of Nottingham Boat Club post COVID-19 pandemic, the journey has been marked by challenges and successes, shaping a remarkable experience.Challenges:Adaptation to New Norms: Navigating the transition post-COVID required a flexible and adaptive mindset. Implementation of safety protocols and adjustment of training regimens were essential to ensure the well-being of our athletes while maintaining a high-performance culture.Remote Training: The disruption caused by lockdowns and restrictions necessitated innovative approaches to training. Fostering a sense of unity through virtual workouts and mental conditioning became imperative to overcome the physical separation.Competition Dynamics: The ever-changing landscape of competitions posed a challenge. Strategic planning, adaptability, and a commitment to staying prepared for any scenario were essential in navigating uncertainties around event cancellations and rescheduling.Successes:Team Unity: Despite the challenges, the team's spirit remained unbroken. The collective commitment to the sport and each other became the driving force behind our success. The bond formed during this period will undoubtedly endure beyond our time at the university.Innovative Training Techniques: Embracing technology and creative training methods allowed us to maintain peak performance. I worked alongside a company of actors of all ages within the school where we managed to produce 'a theatrical masterpiece'.I am indebted to the company of actors I worked with in achieving this award, without their cohesive effort across the rehearsal and production process we could not of created what we did.
