Processes I was dealing with on a daily basis included:* Migration of new customer airlines and stations into the GLC centralised loadcontrol ops.* Negotiation of load control processes standard and non-standard processes.* Setup of internal self briefing systems [SBS, KERMIT, Wiki] and maintenance of information.* Maintenance of customer database and aircraft data in the KERMIT System.* Data input into Wab2Go for maintenance of flight related information e.g. EIC, CSU, Newspapers as well as input of any relevant loadcontrol notes.* Customer Care [Stations and Customer Airlines]: regular follow ups, analysing of current processes and their efficieny, identification of more streamlined processes and presentation to customer. * Development of new or more efficient processes, workarounds for operations in case of non-standard processes.* Identification and removal of redundant procedures.* Customer orientated problem solving.* Understanding of customer perception and requirements and alignment of processes with loadcontrol standard procedures.* Contribute to the culture of learning within the operations and backoffice departments.* Attend to adhoc tasks related to daily operations and support of operations team when and where required.* Trend analysis of loadcontrol performance and identification of necessary measures for short and long term improvement.* Regular meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are met and understood.* Flight incident investigations and drafting of investigation reports. Show less I started off as a Load Control Agent in 2009. After handling narrow body aircrafts for a short period of time, I attended the Lufthansa load control widebody course as well as received training for advanced customer airline handling.Working as a Load Control Agent has provided me with a great insight into the operations department and enabled me to grow into a more advanced position within the company in 2012.Duties as a Load Control Agent included: * Calculation of estimated zero fuel weight and transmission to relevant Dispatch office. Coordination and preparation of all loading and weight and balance documentation in accordance with Company and Customer Airline specifications. * Safe distribution of aircraft load within prescribed aircraft limitations and Company Operating Manuals/ Procedures via the weight and balance system.* Co-ordination and communication with relevant departments [Operations Control, Cargo, Mail, Check-in, Gate, Cockpit, Dispatch] to ensure smooth handling of passanger flights. * Loadplanning according to Ground Operations Manual and Aircraft Manual [locking combinations, DGR incompatibility]. * Entering of loading positions into NOTOC (cross-checking of NOTOC). * Ad-hoc problem solving in case of critical situations e.g. out of trim or overload. * Weight control (EZFW-FZFW) and communication of any discrepancy to Dispatch and/or Cockpit. * Final cross-check with Ramp and entering of all last minute changes into weight and balance system. * Release of Loading Instructions, Loadsheets as well as flight related messages [LDM, CPM and UCM].* Reporting of safety relevant as well as of non-compliance incidents to Duty Manager, Quality and Customer Relations department.* Contribution to organisational learning and active involvement in the development of more efficient procedures.
