      Freshmen Forum was an idea that was whole heartily supported supported and structured by Dr.Srinivasan Sundarrajan ( Director NIT TRICHY ). It was started to help Freshmen in NIT Trichy to easily adapt to campus life by continuousmentorship, cultural and sports events; and workshops specifically targeted at Freshers. Recognizedby The Hindu and The Times of India for anti-ragging efforts.Some important events conducted by the Freshmen Forum team : 1. Launch of freshmen forum ( 30.7.2012 ). Event saw a huge crowd of enthusiastic freshmen was inaugurated by Director Sir Dr.Srinivasan Sundaralrajan.2.Freshers Party (2012 ) where the various culture teams of college came down for the warm welcome of the new batch along with their performances. 3.Book Fair (organised with the help of student Council ) to give the freshers a platform to get there books at best prices.4.Periodic meeting with freshmen representatives to understand their needs on making their stay more fruitful.5.
