David is now a Director of Orion Media and one of the Founders of BOOM Radio.

A great teacher - it was from Steve that I truly began to understand clock structure in radio and how dispirit elements fit together to create a whole product and I witnessed first hand his superb writing and broadcast skills.

      Apprenticed by indenture to The Marconi Company at their New Street works, my craft training took place in the building used as the first radio 'studio' and the building housing the transmitter Dame Nellie Melba made the world's first advertised radio broadcast in 1920. (She had to be paid £1000 by the Daily Mail to do it - nothing changes!) The building has since been demolished by Bellway homes but they have retained other key Marconi buildings.

      Assistant Producer of The Sandi Toksvig Show a daily two-hour comedy and talk show with topical and celebrity guests - comedy, sketches and some music. The forerunner to Sandi's successful Channel 4 TV Show '1001 Things You Should Know'Created 'The Campen Players' with the accent on 'camp' - performing, sometimes live comedy sketches - we went on to win a New York Gold and then a Silver for comedy writing, with the Gold beating the BBC into second place.

We built the original studios used by the Sony Gold Award winning Fun Kids radio based at Create Productions in Soho. (Hardware supplied by RCS) Designed from plan the new visualised studios and vocal booth at Greenworks - the new home for Create and Fun Kids in Holborn. Dramatised a series of 999 London Ambulance calls and wrote copy and script for campaign. We did such a good job of the dramatisation that a few years later the BBC accidentally played them as real calls (whoops) Also had lots of fun recording the ambulance siren at the back of ITN Studios.
