Communication Systems Operator Op Herrick (Afghanistan) June 2011 – November 2011Responsible for the installation and uplift of a Military High Classification Multinational network across Helmand Provence. This network provided mission critical applications to over 5000 multinational users. My responsibilities where to recce the jobs, make sure the appropriate kit was ready for installation which involved VoIP configuration and re-imaging of secure network workstations. I also had to assist with the core installation of all the Fibre optic cabling, Cat5 cabling, Cisco 8 port POE and if necessary 24 port POE in the network equipment rooms. Whilst on this deployment I received a Commander Joint Force Communications Information System (Afghanistan) (JFSIS A) commendation for my work ethic and commitment. Show less
