Engaged members of Congress, state legislators, regulators, and researchers to secure policies and advance the science for individuals with food anaphylaxis. Advocated for passage of the Food Allergen and Labeling Consumer Protection Act and testified before the FDA Food Advisory Committee. Successfully lobbied for changes to Virginia's licensing requirements for child daycare centers. Advised attorneys nationwide on causes of action for individuals diagnosed with food anaphylaxis. Prepared and presented educational materials to public and private sectors including businesses, school systems, health departments, camps, and childcare centers.
