  I contributed to a project on the role of catenation in sister chromatid cohesion at the DNA topology lab. This involved design and generation of a viral topoisomerase II construct, its expression in yeast, and visualisation of its effect on mitotic chromosome segregation by fluorescence microscopy. During my time in this lab, I also shadowed insect and mammalian cell culture experiments. I am very grateful to the members of this lab for sharing their knowledge and experience with me, and for helping me develop my skills in molecular cloning and protein biochemistry. Show less
