    • Tata consultancy services

      Jan 2004 - Jan 2005
      Head of training

During this year I worked as Head of the Training department at the company. My responsibilities included the detection of training needs, and the addressing of those by using local or external resources.During my time in TCS we were certified as a CMMi and PCMM level 5 company.Even though this job has little to do with electrical engineering it was a great experience since I could be in touch first hand with continuous improvement processes and very tough quality assessment. The CMMi assessment was conducted globally (TCS has Global Development Centers all over the world). The other big experience here was the language, although I had very good English skills working in a company where English was the official communication language, was an amazing and very valuable experience. Head of scientific equipment maintenance

I was from day one at the beginning of operations of the Institute as head of Maintenance of Scientific Equipment.During the first month there was nothing to maintain since the building was in work. So at that time my main job was to prepare the facilities for the arrival of a large variety of scientific equipment (from refrigerators to cell sorters, from centrifuges to X-Ray difractomethers). After the set-up period my main responsibilities were:• Day to day maintenance tasks of all the equipment at the institute.• The more complex equipment had separated maintenance contracts. So my task was to coordinate and supervise this maintenance, mostly performed by overseas companies. Show less
