  I spent a year on student placement within the Clinical Data Management department, at DePuy International, Leeds. My key responsibilities included the Management of the Trauma and Extremities portfolio of studies from a Data Management perspective, including Data Entry, Discrepancy Management, Data Quality Checks, CRF Design and Project Management. The majority of my work utilised Oracle Clinical database system and Adobe Lifecycle, with some exposure to Medidata Rave and SAS. Worked in the logistics department where I was exposed to transport, transport planning, stock control / reconciliation, equipment management and waste streams. As I am currently trained in all the above areas, apart from completing my own day to day tasks, I am able to step in and work various different roles within my department – some of this including the responsibility of weekend cover where needed, making me a versatile member of the team.
