  Metlife was an American Health Insurance business. We had responsibility for adjudicating high volumes of American health insurance claims as well as dealing with written communications with the company's American client base. . I started the role as a claims process but within a three month period was promoted to team leader within my area. As a claims processor it was necessary to have good concentration and retention powers to ensure correct decisions were taken when processing claims within a highly quality orientated environment. The ability to have effective data input skills, communication skills and the ability to do accurate mathematical calculations were key skills within this role. My ability to ensure quality standards and effectively manage staff queries within the role lead to a very successful team. The company closed operation in Ireland in 1995, thus leading to a redundancy situation. Show less
