  Nestled along the banks of Guadalupe River, I had the opportunity to work for Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village. While enrolled at this four-star hotel's summer internship program, I got a crash course on every department in a hotel business. From working along side the Director of Sales transmitting information for banquets and events, to shadowing under the Head of Housekeeping learning how how they inventory and set schedules. By interning all departments during my two summers, my take away from this experience was understanding that a successful hotel is only as good as their associates. I grasped how important it is for management to fully equip their employees to give the very best service. While balancing being a full time student-athlete, I put an emphasis on making sure I aligned myself with the best internship programs to launch me further post-college. Show less
