      Community development programme

      I was responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of World Vision's holistic development programme in (21) communities of Thabaung Township. We implemented community-based activities with aims to promote health, education and livelihoods opportunities of the community members. Disaster management was another component, that I worked on, which significantly helped the communities which are vulnerable to flooding. Community development funds were established and used to provide capital to the disadvantaged families and to build community infrastructures. Show less

      I worked with and assisted the specialists on economic policy, environmental management and climate change and provided assistance to them in collecting necessary data and sourcing relevant experts/consultants for UNDP's focus thematic issues. I worked also as a research assistant for my supervisors who, at that time, worked to produce development-related policy papers for Myanmar.
