Responsible for staffing Logistics issues for the CF Tactical Aviation community. This included liaising with the 9 Helicopter Squadrons and providing advice and recommendations to the Commander. I played an integral role in the development of the supply support concept for a new fleet of helicopters. Responsible for all Logistics and Administrative support to an operational Helicopter Squadron including administrative, supply, transport, traffic, food services, medical and vehicle maintenance support. The team successfully deployed and repatriated the Sqn to two separate missions outside Canada (Honduras and Somalia). We also ensured a seamless transition during the phase out of the CH136 (Kiowa) and the concurrent introduction of a new vehicle fleet. Kudos to the team!

Led a team of enthused professionals (mil/civ) validating new CF Materiel Acquisition & Support (MA&S) business requirements generated from deficiencies in MA&S capability throughout the CF. Concurrently, as Project Director for the Materiel Acquisition and Support Information System (MASIS), worked closely with the Project Team to ensure future Engineering and Spares Support exceeded operational requirements. Commanded 40 Canadian Forces Personnel assigned to the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS). Canadian tasks included Hazard and Risk Assessments and Situation Reports for Canada. As the D/Chief JLOC, along with my multi-national team, coordinated the UN Logistics Support (Engineering, Supply, Aviation, Movement Control, Communications and Transportation) for the whole of Sudan. Selected as the initial Project Manager within DND to address accountability in every aspect of Inventory Management within DND. Delivered regular, way-ahead briefings to Senior Officers, Executives, and large working groups. Topics included the process mapping of materiel management business processes, educating on the importance of fiscal stewardship, and the overall scope and impact of such a huge initiative. Contributed to the research, drafting and publishing of the initial Canadian Forces Aerospace Doctrine. This allowed participation in numerous exercises, conferences, seminars, and working groups, both nationally and internationally. Led a team of international NATO professionals (mil/ civ) providing life cycle management of critical aircraft spares and equipment, to meet critical operational requirements. We collaborated with NAMSA to vastly improve the turn around time of our repairables and drastically improved consumable and repairable forecasting. Led the largest group at 8 Wing (400 mil and 250 civ) in our mission of providing Infrastructure, IT, Communications, Supply, Food, Transportation, Vehicle Maintenance, General Safety and Environmental services to 8 Wing Trenton, the most operational air base in Canada. Concurrently produced Business Plans in support of a $24M annual budget. Selected as Logistics Director for the International Airshow. Established the need for a Material Distribution Centre.
